Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A test CVV 2026 check is a card verification value check run inside a payment sandbox with reserved test card numbers. It never touches a real bank account. No legitimate processor lets you test a CVV against a live card, and using another person's card number or security code is card fraud under US law.
The card verification value is the three-digit code on the back of most cards and the four-digit code on the front of American Express cards. The issuer checks it during authorization. In a sandbox, the processor simulates that check with fixed test data. You can confirm three things: your form collects the right number of digits, your API request carries the CVC field, and your code handles a CVC decline without breaking the checkout flow.
Issuers return a single authorization decision to the merchant. They do not expose a CVV lookup endpoint, and the response is not a validation service you can query. Any site that claims to verify a CVV against a real card before a purchase is running a carding operation or harvesting card data. Both are illegal.
PCI DSS forbids storing the card verification value after authorization, in any form, encrypted or hashed. That rule covers sandbox data as well if you copy production patterns into test code. Build the test so the CVC field passes through memory and is discarded after the authorization response.
Buying, selling, or using a CVV that belongs to another person is identity theft and access device fraud. The FTC treats card fraud as identity theft, and federal prosecutors bring these cases as felonies. A request to test a stolen CVV is not a test. It is a crime with prison time attached.
