Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A test card CVV is a 3-digit code (4 digits for American Express) that payment processors publish for sandbox testing. The code authorizes charges in test mode. It has no link to a real bank account, a real cardholder, or real money. Processors in 2026 issue these codes with the same pattern: any 3 digits pass on most test cards, and specific digits trigger specific decline codes.
Payment gateways run two environments. Live mode moves real money. Test mode returns simulated responses. A test CVV belongs to test mode. Stripe publishes card 4242 4242 4242 4242 and accepts CVV 123, 000, or any 3 digits. Braintree publishes 4012 8888 8888 1881 with CVV 123. Adyen publishes cards for each region it serves. Each processor keeps its own list, and the lists change.
Numbers differ by processor. Check the value in the processor's own sandbox documentation before you run a test.
Most gateways accept any 3-digit CVV on a test card. Some gateways let a developer set a fixed CVV in the dashboard, then fail the transaction when the input does not match. That feature tests the CVV mismatch path, which maps to a CVV decline code in most processors.
Test CVV values do not carry over to live mode. A card number from a sandbox has no issuing bank. Live authorization rejects it.
Test cards cannot buy goods, load wallets, or verify a real account. They return responses from a simulator. A CVV printed on a real card belongs to the cardholder and the issuing bank. Buying, selling, or trading real card numbers and CVV codes is a federal crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C. 1029. PCI DSS also bars merchants from storing CVV data after authorization.
If you need test data for a checkout flow, use your processor's published sandbox cards. If you need live card data, there is no lawful source for it.
