Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A test card lets you exercise a payment flow end to end without moving real money. This pack is built for developers, QA teams and support staff who need to reproduce approvals, declines and edge cases on demand — in sandbox gateways, on countertop terminals and on contactless readers. Every card carries a fixed, documented behaviour, so your results stay repeatable from one test run to the next.
Each card is printed on 30 mil PVC in the standard CR80 form factor — the same stock used for production payment cards — so it seats correctly in chip readers, swipe slots and terminal feeders. The cards are encoded with sandbox-only data and labelled on the reverse with the scenario name and the response code you should expect. The set ships in a rigid sleeve with a laminated quick-reference card, and the printing is wipe-clean for daily handling.
It is not linked to any bank account, balance or cardholder. It only produces predictable responses inside a testing environment, so no funds can ever move.
