What is ONYX GiftCards?

Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.

What is a Gift Card?

Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.

How it Works?

  • Buy an Onyx Gift Card at these local stores
  • Give your gift card to friends, family, co-workers, etc.
  • The recipient can shop at our select merchants nationwide
  • Your friends, family, co-workers, etc. will present their gift card at checkout to pay for your item(s)
  • They will walk away happy with the best gift ever...the gift of Choice

Why ONYX GiftCards?

  • Save TIME. No need to run around looking for the perfect gift
  • Redeem from a variety of business island-wide. We will continue adding businesses as fast as ONYX grows.
  • ONYX Gift Cards do not expire
  • Cards are valued at convinient amounts to meet every need and occasion

A Stripe test card is a fake card number that works only in Stripe test mode. No money moves and no real bank account is involved, so you can run successful charges, declines, refunds, and authentication flows in a sandbox before shipping code to production. The best known example is 4242 4242 4242 4242, a Visa number that always succeeds.

How a Stripe test card behaves

Test mode is a fully separate environment from live mode. The same API calls behave differently depending on which key you use, and the results never settle against a real account.

Common Stripe test card numbers

These numbers cover the major card brands and both credit and debit treatment:

Test cards that trigger a decline or an error

Decline testing matters more than most teams expect, because a broken failure path can leave an order in a bad state. Each of these numbers produces a specific response:

3D Secure test cards

Authentication flows need their own numbers. Stripe documents a set of cards that walk through the 3D Secure challenge, including one where the cardholder passes and one where the issuer rejects the attempt. Teams commonly test with 4000 0000 0000 3220 for a successful 3DS2 authentication and 4000 0000 0000 3063 for a failed one. Check the current list in Stripe's testing documentation before you build assertions, since supported flows change over time.

How to use a Stripe test card

  1. Confirm your integration is running with test keys, not live keys.
  2. Open your checkout in a browser and paste the test number into the card field.
  3. Enter any future expiry date and any valid CVC.
  4. Submit the payment and inspect the response object, not just the screen.
  5. Verify the event, charge, and any decline reason in the Stripe dashboard while test mode is switched on.
  6. Repeat with the decline and 3D Secure numbers until each branch of your code is covered.
  7. Swap in live keys only when the whole flow behaves as intended.

Habits that protect real cardholders

Test numbers are published on purpose and cannot be charged. Real card numbers and their security codes are a different category entirely and should never be typed into a sandbox, a demo store, a shared spreadsheet, or a third party's site. If you need realistic data for a load test, generate synthetic numbers through your own payment provider rather than collecting live ones. Keeping test data and real data apart is also what payment industry standards expect from anyone who touches card information, and it keeps your logs free of anything sensitive.
