Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A CVV test tool checks the format of a card verification value. Legitimate versions run in a sandbox supplied by a payment processor. They accept test card numbers published by that processor and return a pass or fail. They do not touch a real account.
The CVV is a 3-digit code on Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards. American Express uses a 4-digit code printed on the front. The code exists to show that the person paying holds the physical card.
PCI DSS requirement 3.2 forbids storing the CVV after authorization. That rule is the reason no database lookup can confirm a code.
The issuer is the only party that can confirm a live CVV. That check happens during an authorization request over the card network. An offline checker cannot reach the issuer. A site that claims to validate real card codes is guessing or lying.
Stolen card data is sold on the same sites that advertise these tools. Buying or using that data violates 18 U.S.C. Section 1029 in the US and comparable statutes elsewhere. Sentences include prison time and restitution.
Card rules vary by market. The EU and UK require strong customer authentication for most online payments. India requires tokenization for stored cards. Brazil and Mexico route many transactions through local 3DS rules. A test suite has to cover each flow on its own. Processors sell sandbox access. The card networks do not license independent CVV checkers.
