Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
International CVV test methods use sandbox card numbers from payment processors. These numbers pass CVV checks in test mode. They do not work for real charges. Buying or selling real CVV data is a crime.
A CVV is a 3-digit code on Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards. American Express uses a 4-digit code. The code sits on the card. Banks call it CVV2, CVC2, CID, or CSC. The code proves the cardholder has the physical card.
CVV checks vary by region. In the US, CVV is often optional for card-present transactions. In the EU, PSD2 requires strong customer authentication. That rule adds 3D Secure to most online payments. In Brazil, local processors may require CPF or CNPJ along with CVV. In Japan, JCB uses a 3-digit CVV. Test methods must match the local card network rules. Use the processor's regional sandbox. Do not use a US test card for an EU acquirer without checking support.
PCI DSS Requirement 3.2 prohibits storing CVV after authorization. The rule applies to all international markets. Test environments must not use real card data. PCI DSS Requirement 6.4 covers secure test data. Use synthetic data or processor-provided test cards. A merchant that stores real CVV faces fines and loss of card acceptance.
Websites that sell CVV data are fraud markets. US law 18 U.S.C. § 1029 makes it a crime to traffic in access devices. The UK Fraud Act 2006 covers the same conduct. Penalties include prison time and fines. Payment processors block accounts linked to carding. Do not buy CVV data from any source.
