Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A CVV dump is a set of payment card records taken from a cardholder without consent. A typical dump lists the card number, expiration date, cardholder name, and the three or four digit security code. Some records add magnetic stripe data. The data comes from skimmers on fuel pumps and ATMs, phishing pages, merchant breaches, and malware on point of sale terminals. No dump is sold with the cardholder's permission. This page explains what the term means and what the law says. It does not describe where or how to obtain card data.
18 U.S.C. 1029 covers fraud and related activity in connection with access devices. A card number and its CVV are access devices under the statute. Selling, transferring, or possessing them with intent to defraud carries up to 10 years in prison for a first offense. The maximum rises to 15 years when the offense involves 10 or more cards. 18 U.S.C. 1028A adds a mandatory 2 year term, served after the other sentence, when the conduct involves another person's identity. Individual fines under these sections reach $250,000.
Sellers group data by card network, issuing bank, card brand, and country. Labels such as base, fullz, and track data describe how much of a record is included. The labels change nothing about the legal status. Each record is stolen property, and each sale is a separate count that prosecutors can charge.
The market has no escrow that a buyer can enforce, no refunds, and no court to file a claim in. The parties running the escrow are the parties selling the records. Buyers who are cheated cannot report the loss without describing their own crime. Law enforcement tracks the same forums and payment rails, so a purchase creates evidence of intent.
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, a cardholder's liability for unauthorized charges is capped at $50, and most issuers waive even that. The loss falls on banks and merchants. Card fraud is prosecuted as a crime against the financial system even when no cardholder is out of pocket.
