What is ONYX GiftCards?

Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.

What is a Gift Card?

Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.

How it Works?

  • Buy an Onyx Gift Card at these local stores
  • Give your gift card to friends, family, co-workers, etc.
  • The recipient can shop at our select merchants nationwide
  • Your friends, family, co-workers, etc. will present their gift card at checkout to pay for your item(s)
  • They will walk away happy with the best gift ever...the gift of Choice

Why ONYX GiftCards?

  • Save TIME. No need to run around looking for the perfect gift
  • Redeem from a variety of business island-wide. We will continue adding businesses as fast as ONYX grows.
  • ONYX Gift Cards do not expire
  • Cards are valued at convinient amounts to meet every need and occasion

A card number validator checks that a customer-entered card number is correctly formatted before it ever reaches your payment processor. It catches swapped digits, missing characters and wrong-length entries the moment they are typed, so honest customers see a clear field error instead of a failed authorization later. This validator runs instantly in your browser or as a small desktop utility and reports both a pass or fail result and the card brand it detected.

Key Features

Format and Technical Details

The validator is delivered as a single self-contained file that runs in any current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari, plus an optional lightweight desktop build for Windows and macOS. There is nothing to host, no database and no third-party dependency. It reads the number you enter, compares it against published numbering rules, and displays a result. Card numbers are never stored, logged, transmitted or written to disk, and the tool has no field for security codes or expiry dates, so it stays on the safe side of your payment data flow. It is a formatting checker for developers, QA testers and support teams, not a payment terminal.

Shipping and Returns

Delivery is instant and digital: the file and your license key arrive by email within minutes of purchase. Nothing is shipped physically and there are no shipping charges. If the tool does not fit your workflow, request a refund within 30 days and it is processed back to your original payment method.

How does a card number validator work?

It applies the Luhn algorithm, a checksum formula used across the card industry, and combines that with the length and prefix rules published for each brand. A number that fails either check is almost certainly a typo rather than a real card.

Does it store or transmit any card data?

No. Validation happens locally on your machine and the entered number is discarded when you close the window. Nothing is uploaded and no history is kept.

Can it tell me whether a card is actually active?

No, and no formatting tool can. It only confirms that a number is well-formed. Whether an account is open and funded can only be determined by the issuer through an authorized payment request.
