Redeem your gift cards at any of our Merchants
Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A card number generator test uses fake card numbers to check that a payment form reads input, runs validation, and returns the right error before real customers see it. Most of these numbers come from the Luhn checksum or from test card lists that payment processors publish. They hold no money, no account, and no cardholder.
Generation tools build number strings that pass the Luhn checksum, the same math card networks use on real cards. That makes them useful for front-end validation tests, form field tests, and database seeding. A number that passes Luhn still fails at authorization because no bank issued it.
Two kinds of output exist, and they serve different jobs:
Luhn, also called mod 10, is the checksum in ISO/IEC 7812 that catches typos and swapped digits. Start at the rightmost digit, double every second digit, subtract 9 from any result above 9, then add everything. If the total divides by 10, the number passes.
Take 4242 4242 4242 4242. The sum lands on 40, so it passes. Change one digit and the sum no longer divides by 10, which is the point of a validator.
Stripe, PayPal (Braintree), Adyen, and Worldpay publish test cards with fixed behaviors. One number always approves, another always declines, and a third triggers a 3D Secure challenge. These are the numbers to use when you need a known outcome.
You can generate Luhn-valid numbers with a short script or a random data library, then run them at your own validator. This works well for load tests that need thousands of unique values no gateway will accept.
A card number alone does not finish a payment test. Most gateways expect a full profile:
Forms break on edge cases far more often than on the happy path. Run this list on every release:
A generated number has no issuer record, so an authorization request comes back as a decline. Sites that claim to sell working numbers for live purchases move stolen data or take your money and send nothing. Using someone else's card data is fraud in the US under 18 U.S.C. 1029 and under similar statutes in most countries.
PCI DSS adds rules even inside a test environment. Test data belongs in sandbox systems, never in production databases, and card numbers need masking wherever they appear.
Fraudsters point generators at live checkout pages to find numbers that still authorize, then sell or use the hits. The traffic looks like a burst of small declined orders from one IP range or one card fingerprint.
Generating Luhn-valid strings for software testing is legal and common. The line gets crossed when a generated or purchased number is used to charge an account that belongs to someone else.
No. A number that passes the checksum still needs a live account with a matching expiry, CVV, and billing address. No generator can supply those pieces.
4242 4242 4242 4242, published in Stripe's test documentation, is the number most developers type first. It approves in Stripe test mode with any future expiry and any 3-digit CVC.
Feed it a known-good number, a number with one digit changed, a short string, letters, and an empty field. Check that each input returns the result you expect, and log the outcome so a regression shows up in CI.
